About

My name is Alyssa Scarfato, and I am a graduate student at Appalachian State University. I recently received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in December of 2018, and I am excited to pursue my Master's in what I love- Reading.

I've always been passionate about reading, even at a young age. I was one of those kids who was always found with a book in hand. I also had a library card by the time I was four years old. Pursuing my Master's in Reading makes me so excited for my future classroom. I know reading isn't as enjoyable for everyone as it is to me, but I am hopeful that I can learn how to foster a love for reading to all my students who enter my classroom.

The real point of this blog is to share my own personal thoughts and opinions on the readings from my graduate course, RE 5130. I'm excited to be able to share what I have to say on this platform.
