My name is Alyssa Scarfato and I am currently in the middle of my second year at Appalachian State University. I am studying to become an elementary school teacher, and so far, this journey has been the best two years of my life. I am from Charlotte, North Carolina, so Boone was quite a bit of a down-size when I first moved, but since then, it has become my home away from home. I have a younger brother, Zan, who is 15, and a little sister, Gigi, who is 8, and they inspire me every day to be the best teacher I can be. Growing up in a household that loved school and adored knowledge has really impacted me to become a future educator who can instill that hunger and thirst to know more in my own students. I am excited to share my journey through this CI 3536 Built It course with you as it impacts my teaching career!
